Can GPS satellites Help Prevent Auto Accidents

Ford and Auburn University are trying to see if GPS satellites can act as an early warning system that detects when a vehicle is about to lose control and communicate with the vehicle’s stability control systems and other safety features to prevent a rollover or other serious auto accident. It improves the speed and effectiveness of electronic stability control systems – literally “talking” to cars and trucks so fast that they could help prevent serious accidents, based on vehicle motion data.
